DTF Transfer & Gang Sheet Terms

You press it, so here's exactly who is responsible for what.

Effective August 15, 2026 · Version 2026-08-15

A DTF transfer is a printed film you apply yourself with a heat press. We control the print. You control the garment, the press and the technique — and that is where most results are won or lost.

1.What you're buying

Ready-to-press transfers are individual pre-made designs printed and cut, ready to apply.

Gang sheets are a sheet of your own artwork laid out by you at a size you choose, printed as one sheet and priced by sheet size.

2.Your sheet, your layout

When you build and approve a gang sheet, you are approving the artwork, the size of each element in inches, the spacing and the overall layout. We print the sheet as approved. Designs sized incorrectly, placed outside the printable area, or supplied at low resolution will print exactly as approved — we cannot resize or rescue them after approval. Check dimensions before you approve.

3.Color and material variation

Printed film colors will not match your monitor exactly, and film, ink and powder batches can vary slightly. Fine detail, thin strokes and small text under about a quarter inch may not hold. These are normal characteristics of the process.

4.Pressing results depend on you

Final results depend on factors we do not control:

  • Garment fabric and blend (cotton, poly, blends, performance, waterproof coatings).
  • Heat press type, platen condition and actual (not displayed) temperature.
  • Pressure, dwell time and peel method (hot vs. cold).
  • Pre-press to remove moisture, and post-press for durability.

We publish press instructions as a starting point. We cannot guarantee results on incompatible garments, with home irons or Cricut-style mini presses, or when the instructions are not followed. We recommend testing one transfer before pressing a full run.

5.Defective transfers

If a transfer arrives with a printing defect — ink flaking off the film before pressing, missing powder, a printing error on our side, or the wrong sheet — contact us within 7 days with your order number and photos of the unpressed transfer.

We will reprint or refund the affected transfer. Do not press the remaining sheet until we respond.

6.Returns

Transfers and gang sheets are made to order and are not returnable for change of mind. See Returns, Refunds & Exchanges.

7.Artwork rights

You must own or have permission to print every design you submit, including designs on a gang sheet you are producing for a client. The Custom Apparel & Artwork Policy applies to DTF orders in full, and your rights confirmation is recorded with your order.
