How To Press Your Transfer

Temperature, press time, pressure, peel and washing guidance for your DTF transfers.

    Prep the garment

    Pre-press garment 5 seconds to remove moisture.

    Position the transfer

    Place the transfer print-side down where you want it. A center chest print usually sits 3 inches below the collar.

    Press

    Press at 300°F for 12 seconds with medium pressure.

  4. 4

    Peel

    Warm peel. Lift a corner slowly — if the ink lifts with the film, press for a few more seconds and try again.

  5. 5

    Finish

    Cover with parchment or a Teflon sheet and press 5 more seconds to lock the ink into the fabric.

  6. 6

    Care

    Wash inside out, cold, hang dry.

Using a home iron instead of a heat press? Results vary — use firm, steady pressure in 15 second passes and expect a shorter print life. Ask us if a transfer isn't sticking; we replace defective prints.
